Transformation Culture: the most timely challenge for companies

Digital transformation, digital assets, and BI MODAL IT principles are all part of GeneXus’ value proposition. “The opportunity lies in advising and guiding companies in their journey towards digital transformation. The challenge is to unify business and digital innovation, in such a way that the existing technological platforms can evolve through the integration of new technologies, skills, and methods, ideally in the context of a transformation culture.”

At present, most companies are aware of the importance of focusing on digital transformation as a competitive value. Even if it will certainly test their capacity to adapt to the market’s actual needs, its sound execution will become an ace up their sleeve that will bring new opportunities and allow them to make better business decisions.
However, transformation is not easy. According to the study Latin America 4.0: Digital Transformation in the Value Chain, by Grupo Assa, even though the adoption level of digital technologies in various industrial sectors is high (79% in average), their adoption at the business process level is low. Even more shocking information published by IDC in its report “Big Data & Analytics” has revealed that 55% of companies devote only 9% of their budget to big data and innovation projects, which are part of this transformation.

To successfully face such a dramatic change, talented and innovative people are required. Among other things, they should be able to create products that solve the difficulties brought about by the emergence of a new disruptive technology. In this model, GeneXus can be a great help, because it allows programming applications in an easy-to-learn language and independently of the selected technology, and generating them in specific programming languages, in a native way.
“GeneXus is a tool that, in addition to allowing users to create applications in a declarative manner, also allows them to focus on the business, thanks to a distinctive feature: it makes it possible to store knowledge and later adapt the creation of new applications to different platforms. It is GeneXus’ great advantage because we make everything automatic using a single language, the GeneXus language,” says Gastón Milano, GeneXus CTO.
Thus, GeneXus can help companies go digital and adopt new technologies while preserving their digital assets through a strategy that facilitates dialog between business analysts and functional or technical analysts. To this end, GeneXus’ distinctive feature can be used, and even enhanced, in various contexts and markets.
In this regard, Gabriel Simonet, GeneXus CMO, states that: “The opportunity lies in advising and guiding companies in their journey towards digital transformation. The challenge is to unify business and digital innovation, in such a way that the existing technological platforms can evolve through the integration of new technologies, skills, and methods, ideally in the context of a transformation culture.”
